You are the missing piece in your own healing

If you feel that going to a healer, therapist or coach once a week – or even twice a month – will resolve all your problems, think again.

Healing is an everyday process. In fact, it is an every MOMENT process.

The healer or facilitator’s role is only 50%. If you cannot take responsibility for your healing on a day to day, moment to moment basis, then no healing will work. It is not the healing method that is the problem, or the coach/facilitator that is the problem.

Only and only YOU ARE.

Until you make yourself a priority, nothing will change.

For example, no journey to heal abandonment will do anything if you choose to continue to abandon yourself in small ways every day.

If we cannot say no to events – even when we have paid for a workshop or have prior commitments – chances are self-love, self-priority and self-honour are zero.

• Abandonment of self WILL attract abandonment from outside.
• Betrayal of self WILL lead to betrayal by others.
• Lack of loyalty to self WILL attract lack of loyalty to you from outside.

Becoming aware of how you unknowingly betray yourself is the first step. Self-loyalty is a conscious choice we have to make daily, every moment. over and over and over again.

If you don’t choose YOU, no one ever will. It’s as simple as that. Most importantly your children will also learn to abandon themselves. And since we are the ancestors of our future, we create an ancestral pattern and affect 7 future generations.

Every choice matters. Every lack of action is also a choice.

We all are learning to choose ourselves slowly and surely. What matters is the awareness around this. What is important is to be aware of the words that we say. Saying I did not want to go, but HAD to go clearly reflects that we have a fear of being judged, shamed, isolated, ostracised and being alone.

Until we deal with this fear, all spiritual teachings are a waste. Because the spiritual journey WILL put us into situations where we will be tested – to choose ourselves or to abandon ourselves.

When we begin our healing journeys, often, we face situations that deter us from the inner work. We either get distracted or the outer chaos increases.

This happens because our deep-rooted inner resistance shows up in disguise, resisting the very change we say we desire.

When we commit, intend and be in a space of allowance, things begin to align. The work becomes easier and the outer world starts to support us.

Outer challenges are often a projection of our own resistance and shadow. They act as initiations, provoking us to choose ourselves again and again.

When we start digging, gunk gets stirred up and rises to the surface. Issues we thought we had made peace with resurface – to be felt and released.

That’s why healing is not for the faint of heart. It is the path of a warrior.

The question I must ask myself:

• Why am I choosing to abandon myself?
• Why am I choosing entanglements, distractions and confusion over clarity and self?
• Why am I NOT choosing myself?

The Shamanic Path to Self-Acceptance

The Shamanic Path to Self-Acceptance

Recently, I was invited as a speaker for the International Spiritual Women Scientist Summit.

International Spiritual Women Scientist Summit.
International Spiritual Women Scientist Summit

A couple of days after the talk, I received a message from one of the participants. She said,

Your session was so powerful. It is because of your voice, not just your teachings, that I kept the video on all along.

This came as a bit of a surprise to me, because historically, my voice has always been judged. People have found me aggressive, arrogant, blunt. They have shamed me for my voice, isolated, rejected and misunderstood me.

So I had developed an imprint that I did not like to hear my own voice. But, that imprint has been slowly changing. And this feedback is so heart-warming that it has made my heart really, really full.

This also makes me realize that all the self work that I have been doing is really paying off.

Many of you may think I must have worked on moderating my tone or taming down my expression in order to be accepted and not judged. But that has not been the case.

Do you know what my real work was and has been?

It was not about changing who I am, but it was about accepting fully who and the way I am.

It was about my connection to nature and allowing it to continue to heal me so that I can be my own true nature. I can be in full acceptance of who I am.

Even today, I find myself judging my own rawness and authenticity. But as time goes by, I keep coming back to my own wisdom that if we have to shine in the glory of our soul, we have to unabashedly continue to be who we are.

And that, in my opinion, is the journey of self love.

If there is one thing that my journey walking the shamanic path has taught me, it is self acceptance.

Shamanism as a way of life teaches us simple tools and ways to help us understand, accept and embody who we are. Most importantly, it teaches us that in this journey, you are not alone. There are a lot of helpers, guides and allies, besides Mother Nature, to help you come into your full glory and splendour.

Are you ready to be unpopular?

Are you ready to shine in the true glory of your own soul?

If yes, then my medicine or my wisdom and teachings are for you.

We begin with a 1-month Foundations of Shamanism on 21st June 2025. To read more about the mentorship, click this link. Or WhatsApp me on 9979901933 to register.

A 1-month mentorship programs begins 21st June.

Shamanism is NOT a quick fix magical solution

An article on Shamanism written by Paul, co-founder of Shamanic Vision, several years ago. Paul is now in the spirit realm.

Shamanism is NOT a quick fix magical solution. Sometimes though it may provide a solution that hits at the core of an issue. It all depends on the guidance that comes through from your Guides and your Soul itself.

Remember, we are working on your Soul here—what the soul wants and does not want.

Sometimes, our souls take on contracts and agreements, a life plan to fulfill. Because of these agreements — which the soul has made prior to its birth — the only understanding that may come through in a shamanic journey is why this situation happened. We can then ask what needs to be done to resolve the issue from your Guides and/or your Soul itself.

Shamanism is not always about fixing the problem. It is about “understanding” the situation.

Shamanism is not always about fixing the problem. It is about “understanding” the situation.
What is Shamanism about?

Sometimes the Soul can heal and the Guides will suggest what to do. The work post guidance has to be done by the client. The shamanic practitioner is just a medium to show you the mirror about what is going on and what needs to be done.

Sometimes, though, accepting a situation, may be the only solution as this is what the Soul wants and has agreed upon.

Although understanding and awareness may throw a lot of light on the issue, post shamanic work is equally important or rather more important. This could be anything from working with your energy bodies to belief changes, working with power integration, building a relationship with your Guides and Power Animals, soul healing and other aspects of health as guided.

Spirits are outside the realms of time and space and hence how much time a particular resolution takes, is an individual situation.

Yet, if one sticks to the guidance and keeps treading the path, miracles are possible.

Transformation is a process. Shamanism is not like taking a pill for headache. One has to feel into it and through it to allow it to transform your mind so you can feel and fully embrace the gifts of your soul. Energy is thick right now with so much warfare upon the planet. You come into this world to elevate that energy and this takes time.

Listen to the whispers of your soul. Think how far you have come instead of seeing as “nothing is happening.”

Once the guidance and next steps have been shared by the practitioner, their work is over. It is difficult to say how much time you will take to embrace, allow and deepen the healing.

The only thing between you and the healing is the will to heal. Allow it. Feel it.

The old seed has been weeded out and the new seed has been planted. It takes time to grow in to a fully nourished tree. Ask your Guides and Power Animals how you need to work at emotional level and with your belief systems to see the results. Continue working with your Power Animals.

Say to yourself again and again: I release the resistance to heal. All is unfolding for my highest good. I allow and am open for the healing that my Guides and Power animals bring me.

Implement the guidance and absorb the lessons which are involved. That’s is the true path to healing.

On the Empowerment Circle WhatsApp group, for the months of April, May and June, we’re doing FREE 1-hour webinars on various topics. We have one on 3rd May from 6-7 PM IST on Shamanism and Purpose. Do join the group for updates here.

The Shamanic Path to Self-Acceptance

Glimpses from Sea Healing Retreat Part 2: March 2025

I have been fortunate enough to be embraced by the sea, as her daughter.

I have always loved her and felt so deeply held and loved by her.

With Mother Sea
With Mother Sea

She had impregnated me with the seed of birthing “The Sea is My Mother” retreat which not only brings us home to our own selves but also teaches us all about the Sea as a healing methodology.

At the recently concluded part 2 of sea healing retreat
At the recently concluded part 2 of sea healing retreat

The planted seed gestated in me and finally in 2016, the seed come to fruition when I birthed and delivered my very special baby, “The Sea is My Mother.”

This baby kept growing through me year after year. But then, suddenly, after 2020, I went through deep death myself.

As the dark night of the soul began to lift its darkness, the desire to share the fruits of the sea with everyone was born again.

When we gathered in August 2024 in Kerala, we realised that the baby had grown so much in me even without me nurturing or mothering it consciously, that 3 nights 4 days just were not enough for fully embracing her MAGIC AND GIFTS.

The students who participated in August were hungry for more. I was passionate to birth more and offer more and more fully not just of myself but also of the Mother Sea.

And so Sea is my Mother part two was born.

While making my teacher’s notes, I felt that this time it will not be as intense as always. And yet, a part of me kept saying, “your notes will get thrown aside and something else will come up.”

Well, I was not worried about that because spontaneity and teaching as per what the group energy demands in that moment is very much my wheel house. And yet the mind was curious and obviously keeping me on tenterhooks as to what might come up.

What came up was so intense and such a deep cleanse.

The sea waved her magic wand and the mermaids and mermen came welcoming us too.

We realised where we have tamed ourselves, our voices, our beings, our bodies, our expression.

Sea is my Mother part two was a deep immersion which my words fail to describe. And the best part? We all are still hungry for more!

What this hunger will lead to? Only time will tell.

The Shamanic Path to Self-Acceptance

Teachings from nature #NeelamSutra

All of us are very afraid of failure. We have been taught to believe that we are good enough, smart enough, worthy enough and worthy of enjoying life only if we are successful – successful as defined by the parameters of society.

These parameters are often governed by the profits we generate or the salaries we earn, the volume of sales or the number of customers we acquire, by the goods we can buy and accumulate and money we can spend.

While these parameters are okay to live a comfortable human experience, we forget to define how much is enough really. We forget to introspect whether the desire is fuelled by our comparison with others and hence arising out of our innate insecurities and deep rooted feeling of being not good enough or whether it is fuelled by our passion to fulfil our true potential and eventually to contribute and be of service.

If we are unable to meet some or any of the above definitions of success, we consider ourselves a huge failure. We compare ourselves with our peers, neighbours or competitors and MEASURE our success by these benchmarks which we often assign to our own self.

Not only do we wallow in misery because apparently we failed, we also take a dig further in our self esteem and sense of self.

The definitions of success and failure that exist are not only superficial and irrelevant, in my opinion, but they also bypass a few very important facets of the human and soul experience.

We are taught to feel shame when we do not succeed. We are not taught that every so called failure is a huge teacher – a teacher who can lead us to a deeper exploration, understanding, healing and awareness of the SELF, should we see it that way.

If we do not label the incident or experience as failure or success, it has the potential and the possibility to lead us through a process of death and re-birth, deconstruction and reconstruction just like nature that is born, that dies and rebirths itself over and over again.

Deconstruction and reconstruction is such an integral part of nature but even though we are embodiments of nature, we have moved away from nature and forgotten to view our life experiences as just that: an extension of death and rebirth. Death and rebirth keeps happening in our bodies too, intermittently.

Similarly our definitions of success and failure can either nourish us or create more shame and hence more toxicity in our lives.

Picture as shared by Michaeal Meade

Needless to say that the kingdom/treasure that awaits to be discovered is more often than not, not just overlooked but often not considered worth looking into at all.

Could we allow our so called successes and failures to seed in us just as an experience that leads to:

(a) Deconstruction of facets that we do not need anymore?
(b) Reconstruction and reclamation of facets which we might have ignored or buried deep within the self out of fear of rejection or retribution?

I leave you with the thought that we do not have to DO something to PROVE that we matter and that we are indeed worthy.

Thousands of years of programming that has been fed into our cells, will obviously take time to disintegrate and shed. Perhaps it may take many births and lifetimes to understand and embody the ultimate truth: I am whole and complete and worthy just because I EXIST.

While we mull over on these thoughts, the kingdom within us waits to be unlocked. Will we begin this journey?

Woman, who are you?

WoMan who ARE YOU?

When a woman raises her voice, we call her direct, blunt, harsh, unkind, arrogant, aggressive and yes, even A BITCH.

Why is a woman’s voice so judged? Why is a woman always expected to be lovey dovey and goodie goodie?

We say that a woman is Shakti, she is Prakriti. When prakriti, mother nature, showers us with her fury, we never judge her roar. When mama ocean throws a storm we bow down and pray.

When the wind hurls we pay attention.

This is why mother nature raises her voice. So that humanity pays attention. When soft gentle winds and waves don’t work, nature raises her voice and draws our attention.

There is power in her roar. Her rage is her medicine.

Yes a soft voice also has power and strength. But that doesn’t make a loud woman any less soft or less feminine.

Women have historically been judged for their rawness. Their wilderness is often sought to be tamed or has been shamed or judged or labelled as unkind or harsh or ‘unwomanly.’

So who is a woman really? Is she to suit your tastes because it makes you feel inadequate when she calls you out? A mother tries and tries to soothe a tantrumy child but when the child doesn’t pay attention…it is here that she becomes firm. That firm approach to some can seem loud or unkind or harsh or direct.

But why is directness so bad? Why is a woman only supposed to behave the way it suits your tastes?

You don’t take permission before treating her like this or that. So then why does she need YOUR permission to be her SELF?

Why do women look for validation from their men and when there is no validation but only judgement, why is her sense of self so shaken?

She begins to question her identiy, her core, her magnificence, her essence.

Who is a woman? What is her power? Is she only a soft lovey dovey motherly energy?

What all facets encompass her womanhood? Have you ever wondered and connected to the woman within and what is it that she really really wants and desires and longs for?

Does she voice herself enough? Does she scream when she is not heard or when she feels betrayed or abandoned by the patriarchal man?

What is her pain? What is her longing? Have you ever connected to the woman inside you?

In this 2 hour exploration, we dive deeper into connecting with the woman inside of us and her various facets and selves and what they mean to us and what gifts each one of them brings.
